Design and Implementation Services

The Boxing Orange Design and Implementation Service helps organisations accelerate the business benefits of services and solutions provided by Boxing Orange. We have developed a customer-designed project delivery system based on the Prince2 Methodology, the Boxing Orange Support System (BOSS), First Line Support and Project Resources. This system helps to ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget.

We will help you develop a comprehensive detailed design that meets your current business and technical requirements, and incorporates specifications to support availability, reliability, security, scalability and performance. In addition, we help you develop a comprehensive design that is specific to the technology system’s operation and network management processes and tools.

Any changes to the budget or project scope will be dealt with through the Boxing Orange Project Control Process.

Stage 1 – Project Initiation

For project success it is essential to lay down solid foundations and to fully understand:

• What the project is expecting to achieve or deliver
• The scope of what is to be done
• What risks could be faced
• How the project is to be controlled
• Who needs project progress information

By documenting this information, we ensure a firm and accepted basis prior to the project commencement, and are able to develop the project successfully.

Stage 2 – Planning

Using product-based planning, we are able to provide a logical sequence to the project’s work and, ultimately, identify all necessary work and information required to successfully deliver the project. Planning provides all parties involved in the project with information on:

• What is required (pre-requisites)
• How and by who it will be achieved
• When events will happen at specific checkpoints throughout the project lifecycle

Stage 3 – Implementation

Once a decision has been taken to proceed with the work and resources are committed, the Boxing Orange Project Team is then focussed on delivering the project within cost, effort and the time scale agreed. Reports will be supplied to the customer as agreed in Project Initiation and all identified risks will be evaluated, their impact assessed and managed on an ongoing basis.

Stage 4 – Project Close

It is important to have a clear end to a project that everyone involved recognises and understands. Boxing Orange will ensure that all expected products have been delivered and that all acceptance criteria documented in the Project Initiation have been met. Customer confirmation of this is achieved through project sign off. This controlled end to the project ensures seamless hand over to our 24/7 365 Security Operation Centre (SOC) to enable our dedicated security professionals to manage your ongoing needs.
